The champions so far

Ten titles have been won since the first tournament in March 2024. Meta and LinkedIn sit clear at the top with two each, and both are the most recent winners, which makes the next tournament a chance for another company to break up the order at the top.

The two most recent finals were close-run in different ways. In March 2026, Meta beat a Sportas team 21:8 in the final to take their second title. In May 2026, LinkedIn edged KPMG over two tight sets, 21:17 and 21:15, to draw level with Meta on two.

How the Sportas volleyball tournament works

A Sportas corporate volleyball tournament is a one-evening competition for company teams, run end to end by Sportas. Teams are six a side and mixed, with at least one woman on court at all times, and the format is built for mixed ability so complete beginners and regular players share the same team. Indoor tournaments are held at In2 Sports Centre in Canary Wharf. Beach tournaments run in summer at Marlborough Sports Garden near London Bridge. Sportas provides the courts, equipment, referees and scoring, so teams just turn up and play. Tournaments run several times a year, usually around quarterly, and more often than that through 2025 and 2026.

How to enter your team

Upcoming tournaments are listed on the Sportas London tournaments and leagues page, where your company can enter a team directly.

If you want something built around your company, a private tournament, a sports day or a recurring programme, that runs through Sportas corporate events. You can also email hello@sportas.co.uk.

FAQ

Who has won the most Sportas volleyball tournaments?

Meta and LinkedIn have each won two Sportas volleyball tournaments, more than any other company. Both took their second title in 2026, Meta in March and LinkedIn in May. Six other companies have one title each: Citi, KPMG, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, the Bank of England and HCA UK.

Where are the tournaments held?

Indoor tournaments take place at In2 Sports Centre in Canary Wharf. Beach tournaments run in summer at Marlborough Sports Garden near London Bridge. Both venues are a short walk from the tube, which makes them easy for teams travelling straight from the office.

Do you need to be good at volleyball to enter?

No. Tournaments are mixed ability and beginner-friendly, with teams made up of a range of experience levels. Plenty of players enter having never played a competitive match before. Referees explain the format on the night, so a team of first-timers can turn up and play with no prior knowledge.

How many players are in a team?

Teams play six a side and are mixed, with at least one woman on court at all times. Companies usually bring a slightly larger squad so players can rotate through the evening, share game time and cover anyone who needs to leave early.

How often do the tournaments run?

Sportas runs corporate volleyball tournaments several times a year, usually around quarterly, with both indoor and summer beach editions. Frequency has been higher across 2025 and 2026 as more companies have entered teams. Upcoming dates are listed on the Sportas tournaments and leagues page.

How does my company enter a team?

Any company can enter. Browse upcoming tournaments on the Sportas London tournaments and leagues page and sign your team up there. For a private company tournament or a tailored event, contact the Sportas corporate events team or email hello@sportas.co.uk.

And finally

Ten titles, eight companies, and two of London’s best-known names level at the top. The next Sportas volleyball tournament is your company’s chance to get on the list, or to be the team that knocks Meta and LinkedIn off it. Browse upcoming dates and enter a team on the tournaments and leagues page, or email hello@sportas.co.uk to talk about a private company event.
