Connect Sportas with a company that books a sports day of 50 or more people, and we’ll add £100 in Sportas credit to your account. Credit lands once the company pays their deposit, doesn’t expire, and can be spent on anything bookable through the Sportas app. The programme runs year round, with no cap on how many companies you can refer.
You don’t need to be a Sportas player, an existing client, or anything else to take part. If you can put us in touch with someone at a company who’d be open to a chat about a corporate sports day, that’s a referral.
The quick version
- £100 Sportas credit per company you refer that books a sports day of 50+ people
- Anyone can refer. No cap on referrals.
- Credit lands once the deposit is paid and doesn’t expire
How it works
Three steps.
- Connect us. Email hello@sportas.co.uk with the company name and a contact, or send a warm intro on LinkedIn. Any channel that puts us in front of the right person works.
- They book. If the company books a sports day, recurring corporate programme, or any other corporate event with us, the referral counts.
- We pay your credit. Once the deposit is paid, we add the credit to your Sportas account.
What counts as a qualifying referral
The £100 credit covers any company you refer that books a sports day, multi-sport festival, hybrid sports day, or premium event with 50 or more people. It also applies to recurring corporate programmes, where the company runs monthly or fortnightly sports sessions for their staff at a venue we manage. Sportas runs corporate events across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, Nottingham, Reading and York, so the company you refer can be based anywhere we operate. The qualifier is the headcount of the booked event, not the size of the company. A 60-person startup running a full company sports day qualifies. So does a 200-person company running a 60-person team away day. The line is the event headcount, 50 or more, not the company size or department size.
How to refer
The cleanest way is an email to hello@sportas.co.uk with two lines: who you’re connecting us with, and how to reach them.
For example:
Hi Sportas, my friend Sarah at Acme Corp has been chatting about a summer sports day for her team. I think she’d love what you do. Worth reaching out, sarah@acmecorp.com.
LinkedIn DMs to anyone on the Sportas team work too. Mentioning it to a Sportas organiser at a session is fine. Replying to Simona’s email if she’s the one in your inbox is fine. Anywhere you can pass us a name and a contact, that counts.
We mention you when we reach out, so the company knows where the intro came from, unless you ask us not to.
When credit lands and what you can spend it on
Credit lands on your Sportas account when the company you referred pays their deposit. Most corporate sports day bookings move from first conversation to deposit paid in two to six weeks. Once the deposit lands, the credit is on your account within a few working days.
Once it’s there, the credit works like any other balance in the Sportas app. You can spend it on drop-in games, leagues, tournaments, or anything else listed in the app. If you don’t play yourself, hold on to it or pass it to someone who will. It doesn’t expire.
Who can refer
Anyone. Players, organisers, ex-clients, HR contacts who’ve heard us pitched before, friends, family. Any person who can connect us with a company that books with us has earned the credit.
The one exception is companies already in our pipeline. If we’ve already had a conversation, sent a quote, or run a sales process with the company you’re thinking of, the referral doesn’t count. We don’t double-pay on active leads. If you’re not sure whether a company is in our pipeline, send us the name first and we’ll tell you straight before you make the intro.
FAQ
What if the company I refer is already talking to Sportas?
The referral doesn’t count if we’re already in conversation, quoting, or running a sales process with them. We don’t double-count active pipeline. If you’re not sure, send us the name before you make the intro and we’ll come back within a working day to confirm whether it’s in scope.
Do I have to play with Sportas to use the credit?
No, but the credit only works on things bookable through Sportas. If you don’t play yourself, the credit sits on your account until you do, or until you pass it to someone else who plays.
Is there a cap on how many companies I can refer?
No cap. You can refer one company or twenty. Each one that books a 50+ person sports day pays out £100 in credit. There’s no limit per person and no limit per year, and you don’t have to wait for one referral to clear before sending the next.
When does the credit expire?
It doesn’t. Once the credit lands on your Sportas account, it stays there until you spend it. If we ever change the programme in future, anything already earned is honoured.
What if my referral leads to a sports day under 50 people?
Sub-50 corporate bookings earn £30 in Sportas credit instead of £100. The £100 reward is built around 50+ person sports days and recurring corporate programmes, which is what we focus on. Anything smaller still counts as a corporate referral and still earns credit. Send the intro the same way.
To refer someone
Email hello@sportas.co.uk with the company name and a contact. If they book a sports day of 50 or more, you get £100 in Sportas credit. Year round, no cap, no expiry. That’s the whole programme.
